Jonah Hodari is a visual artist from Richmond, Virginia who explores the role of documentation when forming demographic understanding and remembrance. Through portraiture and narrative filmmaking Hodari confronts media’s active influence on our social behavior, along with the gaping holes in our common notions of diversity. His works include Black Male Study, The Home Series, and Exteriors, an ongoing photo/video project currently in production.
